I was promising my friend that I'd never do Love Hina cosplay because it's lame, and she was like, "We should totally do towel cosplay! That would be the best!" and I was like, "Okay." So we did.

This can go with the Julia costume in the "costumes that should have been cheap but weren't" pile. The towel itself cost me $5 at Honest Ed's, but then I went and spent $70 CDN on the wig (it's a nice wig, and I'm sure I can use it for something else, so I'm not too bothered by it; it's just the principle of the thing)

The main problem with this costume is that apparently it violated some sort of Katsucon decency code. After wearing it for maybe 20 minutes, a staffer ordered me to go change immediately. As tempted as I was to wear it anyways, the conformist in me acquiesced and I went and changed into Blue Mary for a second day. Boo. It's pretty much retired now, because, well, it's not really a costume.
